Sporting NE FC

Sporting NE FC was one of two clubs from USA that had teams playing during Gothia Cup Cancun 2023. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Sporting NE FC, 13 other teams from 3 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 3 different groups, whereof Sporting NE FC could be found in Group 2 together with Racing Big Stars FC, INTERCUPS MX 2, Atlante FC and Valladolid Futbol Club Cancun. Sporting NE FC continued to Slutspel B after reaching 5:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against INTERCUPS MX 1 with 0-5. In the Final, Atlante FC won over PIONEROS CANCUN 1 and became the winner of Slutspel B in Boys 16. Sporting NE FC comes from Omaha which lies approximately 2400 km from Cancun, where Gothia Cup Cancun takes place.
