Pioneros F.C. was one of 24 clubs from Mexico that had teams playing during Gothia Cup Cancun 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to Pioneros F.C., 5 other teams played in Girls 14. Pioneros F.C. made it to Slutspel A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 1. Once in the playoff they made it all the way to the Final, but lost it against Inter Playa with 0-1. Thereby Pioneros F.C. finished second in G14 Slutspel A during Gothia Cup Cancun 2023. Pioneros F.C. originates from Cancun, which is the same city as where Gothia Cup Cancun takes place. The area around Cancun does also provide 9 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup Cancun 2023 (Club Amigas Pioneras A 2007, Atlante FC, Cefor Tuzos Cancún, Valladolid Futbol Club Cancun, PIONEROS CANCUN, Braves fc, Cancún Calcio, VALLADOLID FC CANCÚN and Pioneras Femenil F.C).
