FC Union Canada

FC Union Canada was one of two clubs from Canada that had teams playing during Gothia Cup Cancun 2023. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to FC Union Canada, 13 other teams from 3 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 3 different groups, whereof FC Union Canada could be found in Group 1 together with PIONEROS CANCUN B, INTERCUPS MX 1 and Venados FC. FC Union Canada continued to Slutspel A after reaching 1:st place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Valladolid Futbol Club Cancun with 1-2. In the Final, Valladolid Futbol Club Cancun won over INTERCUPS MX 2 and became the winner of Slutspel A in Boys 16. FC Union Canada comes from Montréal which lies approximately 3000 km from Cancun, where Gothia Cup Cancun takes place. Other than FC Union Canada, the club AS Brossard does also originate from the area around Montréal.
