Playa FC

Playa FC was one of 18 clubs from Mexico that had teams playing during Gothia Cup Cancun 2024. They participated with one team in Girls. In addition to Playa FC, 7 other teams played in Girls. They were divided into 2 different groups, whereof Playa FC could be found in Group 1 together with Pioneras Femenil F.C 1, Calgary Villains FC and Panteras MX. Playa FC made it to Slutspel A after reaching 1:st place in Group 1. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against Pioneras Femenil F.C 1, which they won with 2-0. Thereby Playa FC won the entire Slutspel A in Girls during Gothia Cup Cancun 2024. Playa FC comes from Playa del Carmen which lies approximately 62 km from Cancun, where Gothia Cup Cancun takes place. The area around Playa del Carmen does also provide four additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup Cancun 2024 (Halcones, Caribbean Pro Football, Bramex Necaxa Playa del Carmen and FC Napoli).
